Awaiting regulatory perimeter▒

// Industries / Fintech & Financial Services

Money movement where the ledger has to be right.

Immutable double-entry records, scheduled reconciliation with real exception handling, KYC and monitoring workflows integrated properly, and audit trails that survive scrutiny. Built inside the perimeter your counsel and regulator set.

The Problems We Actually Get Called About

Fintech engineering problems are rarely about features. They are about correctness, traceability and the cost of a bad hour.

[01] problem

Money Moves Twice

Retries, timeouts, at-least-once delivery from providers. Without idempotency keys and enforced uniqueness, a customer gets debited twice and it becomes a regulatory conversation.

[02] problem

Mutable Financial Records

Editing a posted transaction destroys the audit trail. Corrections have to be reversals and new postings, in a system that can prove the original history.

[03] problem

Reconciliation Is A Spreadsheet

Matching provider settlements by hand at month end does not scale and does not scale safely. Breaks need to be a queue someone works, not a file someone opens.

[04] problem

KYC As An Afterthought

Identity verification, sanctions screening and ongoing monitoring have to be designed into onboarding, not bolted on after the first compliance finding.

[05] problem

Unknowable Regulatory Perimeter

Whether you are a regulated entity depends on what you actually do with the money and with the customer. That classification drives architecture, and it is a legal determination.

[06] problem

Vendor Review From Your Buyers

Enterprise and institutional customers security-review every supplier in the chain. Vendor risk review is a launch dependency, not an admin task.

What We Build Here

The ledger and the audit stream are the load-bearing parts. Everything else is arranged around them.

build active

BUILD: Ledger And Movement

Immutable postings with balanced entries, reversal-not-delete corrections, idempotent payment endpoints, multi-provider orchestration with routing rules, and reconciliation services with an exception queue.

DESIGN: Regulated Flows

Onboarding and KYC journeys that collect what is required at the right moment, accessible financial tables, servicing consoles for operations teams, and step-up authentication placed deliberately.

GROW: Pipeline And Trust

Named-account outreach into finance and treasury buyers, educational content reviewed by your compliance function, and search visibility for the integration questions your prospects ask before they buy.

Constraints And Where We Stop

This section is deliberately blunt. Fintech compliance is not something a development studio can sell you, and pretending otherwise would cost you.

We Do Not Audit Or Certify Anything

WebNuvexa does not perform PCI DSS, SOC 2 or ISO 27001 assessments, penetration tests, regulatory examinations or compliance audits, and we issue no certificates or attestations of any kind. We implement the controls your assessors require and remediate their findings. The attestation is issued to you, by a qualified third party.

We Are Not A Compliance Adviser

Whether your activity requires a licence, and which obligations attach to it, is determined with your legal counsel and your regulator. We do not provide regulatory, legal or financial advice, and nothing on this page should be read as either.

PCI DSS Scope Is Determined Elsewhere

Your PCI DSS scope follows from where cardholder data touches your systems and is agreed with your acquirer and a qualified security assessor. We integrate processors through tokenisation or hosted components to help keep that scope small, and we handle tokens as sensitive data in their own right.

Licensed Activity Is Out Of Scope

If the work involves safeguarding, transmitting or moving money, issuing credit, or giving investment or insurance advice under a regulated authorisation, that authorisation must already exist or be obtained. We do not help a client operate outside a perimeter it does not hold.

Technical Decisions That Matter Here

These are the choices that determine whether your next external review is comfortable or expensive.

[01] technical

Double-Entry By Construction

Every movement is a balanced pair of postings to accounts. The constraint is in the data model and the database, so it cannot be bypassed by a hurried endpoint.

[02] technical

Idempotency As A Hard Constraint

A unique constraint on the idempotency key, enforced by the database. Application-level checks alone fail under the concurrency that matters.

[03] technical

Reconciliation As A Product

A scheduled job with a defined matching strategy, tolerance rules, an exception queue with ownership and ageing, and an append-only record of how each break was resolved.

[04] technical

The Audit Stream Is Separate

Security-relevant events go to their own append-only store with actor, action, target, timestamp and correlation ID. Business tables can change shape; the audit stream cannot.

[05] technical

Keys Stay In Your KMS

We integrate with the key management service you run. We do not hold long-lived signing keys, and key rotation is designed into the release rather than bolted on.

[06] technical

Risk Rules Change Without A Deploy

Sanctions lists, thresholds and scoring rules are versioned configuration with effective dates, so a rule change is reviewable, reversible and auditable independently of a release.

Indicative Engagement Shapes

Illustrative fixed-fee phase structures only. Regulated scopes are quoted after a compliance and architecture conversation, not from a form.

phase_01

Perimeter And Architecture Review

What the product does with money, which obligations your counsel has identified, and what that implies for data, keys, integrations and vendors. Output is a written architecture decision set.

phase_02

Core Build

The main fixed-fee tranche: ledger and posting model, one or two money-moving paths with idempotency, audit stream, and the reconciliation service.

phase_03

Assurance Readiness

Dependency inventory, environment and access documentation, change-control and release-gate setup, and a structured handover so your assessors and internal reviewers have what they need.

retainer

Controlled Change And Support

A separately priced retainer for change under release gates, dependency currency, incident response and remediation work arising from third-party findings.

Who This Is Not For

The fintech version of an honest no.

No Licence Or Regulatory Strategy

If you do not yet know whether your product needs an authorisation, that is a conversation with a specialist lawyer and your regulator. We are neither, and we will not fill that gap.

Expecting A Certificate From Us

No SOC 2 report, no ISO certificate, no PCI attestation, no penetration test result. We build the evidence; qualified third parties issue the findings.

Trading Or Investment Logic

We do not develop algorithmic trading systems, pricing models or investment advice engines that depend on regulatory licensing reviews we are not positioned to perform.

Undocumented Regulated Product

Building a money-moving product before the perimeter, the licensing position and the reporting obligations are documented produces rework that no fixed fee will absorb.
