// Industries / Healthcare & Health Tech
Clinical software built knowing who is reading it.
Patient portals, scheduling, telehealth and HL7/FHIR integration layers, with minimum-necessary data access, complete access logging, and accessibility treated as a requirement rather than a later pass.
The Problems We Actually Get Called About
Healthcare software failures are rarely dramatic outages. They are interrupted workflows, lost context, and integrations nobody documented.
PHI Is Not One Field
Name, date of birth, record number, insurance details, visit notes and results all carry obligations. Systems built to handle only the obvious identifier still leak the rest.
Interoperability Is The Project
HL7 v2 interfaces, FHIR resources, CDA documents and imaging and lab vendor portals vary enormously in quality and convention. Integration often costs more than the application.
Workflows Get Interrupted
Clinicians are called away mid-task. Losing entered state, losing context, or requiring eight clicks to resume a stopped task is a real operational cost.
Access Is More Than Roles
Consent, proxy and guardian access, minors, break-glass for emergencies, and after-hours on-call access. Role-based permissions alone do not model any of this.
Revenue Cycle As Software
Scheduling, referral, prior authorisation and eligibility are the mechanics of getting paid. When they live in spreadsheets, the software cannot help.
A Heterogeneous Patient Population
Age, disability, language, device quality and connection speed all vary. The patient-facing surface is where accessibility and performance constraints actually bite.
What We Build Here
Healthcare scopes are usually front-end-light and integration-heavy. We plan for that.
BUILD: Care Systems
Patient portals, scheduling and intake, telehealth sessions, HL7 v2 and FHIR interface layers, provider and staff applications, and operational reporting for multi-site groups.
DESIGN: Accessible Clinical UI
Accessible, WCAG-oriented component libraries, clinical dashboards that stay readable at a glance, forms that survive interruption, and design systems shared across every site.
GROW: Reach And Trust
Local search visibility for every location and service line, patient education content produced with clinical review, reappointment journeys, and named-account work into payer and employer buyers.
Constraints And Where We Stop
Healthcare carries obligations that sit with your organisation. We are explicit about which of them we do not hold.
We Do Not Attest HIPAA Compliance
WebNuvexa does not audit, assess, certify or attest HIPAA compliance, and we issue no compliance certificates. We implement the technical safeguards that support your programme: scoped access, complete access logging, encryption in transit and at rest, session timeouts, minimum-necessary display, and breach-relevant event capture. Your covered entity or business associate owns its compliance programme, its risk analysis and its determinations, with its own counsel and any qualified assessor it requires.
Agreements And Business Associate Status
Whether a business associate agreement is required for any party depends on what that party handles. That is a legal determination for your counsel. We will document our systems, subprocessors and handling so your legal team can make the call with real information.
Medical Device And SaMD Are Different Products
If your software is regulated as a medical device or software as a medical device, design controls, risk management, verification and a regulatory submission are involved. That is regulatory-affairs work we do not perform. We build ordinary software products and ordinary clinical systems.
Accessibility Conformance Is Yours
Many healthcare purchasers and public bodies contractually require a stated WCAG conformance level, and accessibility is a legal duty in several jurisdictions. We build and test to the level you specify. The conformance determination, any accessibility statement and any VPAT or ACR are produced and owned by your organisation.
Technical Decisions That Matter Here
These decisions are what make the difference between a portal that passes a security review and one that generates findings.
Minimum-Necessary In The Query
Data is scoped by role, care relationship and context at retrieval time, not filtered out in the interface. If a record should never have been sent, hiding the column is not a control.
Every PHI Read Is Logged
Actor, patient, action, purpose, timestamp and correlation ID recorded on read as well as write. Log volume is a real infrastructure cost and is planned for, not discovered.
Break-Glass With A Trail
Emergency elevated access is time-boxed, requires a stated reason, and generates an immediate alert and review item. Unlogged break-glass defeats the purpose of having it.
Sensitive Data Never In URLs Or Logs
Identifiers in query strings end up in browser history, proxies and referrer headers. Request bodies, error responses and application logs are reviewed for leakage before release.
Integration Adapters, Not Point Integrations
Vendor interfaces are wrapped behind internal adapters with contract tests and replayable payloads. Direct vendor calls from application code make every upgrade a release.
No Real PHI In Lower Environments
Development, staging and test environments run on synthetic or properly de-identified data, generated through a documented pipeline rather than a copied production extract.
Mapped To Real Services
Every capability below is an existing WebNuvexa service page.
➤ Custom Software — Care workflow tools, referral and prior-authorisation tracking, and operational reporting.
➤ API Development — FHIR resource services, HL7 v2 interface engines and vendor-specific lab and imaging adapters.
➤ Web Development — Patient, provider and administrator applications with role-scoped data access.
➤ Mobile App Development — Patient-side apps, clinician mobile access and telehealth clients.
➤ SaaS Development — Multi-practice platforms where each provider organisation is a hard data boundary.
➤ DevOps & Cloud — Environment isolation, encryption at rest, key management and audit log retention.
➤ Legacy Modernization — Retiring on-premises clinical systems and unsupported vendor interfaces.
➤ AI Development — Document extraction and summarisation with evaluation, guardrails and human review paths.
➤ Chatbots & Assistants — Appointment and coverage routing that hands off to a person rather than guessing.
➤ UI/UX Design — Clinical workflow interfaces designed around interruption, not around ideal conditions.
➤ Design Systems — An accessibility-first component library shared across every care and admin surface.
➤ Motion Design — Feedback motion restrained enough to be safe in urgent clinical contexts.
➤ Local SEO — Location pages for multi-site provider groups, clinics and service lines.
➤ Content Marketing — Patient education material, written and reviewed by your clinical staff.
➤ Account-Based Marketing — Named-account outreach to health system, payer and employer buyers.

Indicative Engagement Shapes
Illustrative fixed-fee phase structures only. Healthcare scopes are quoted after a clinical, integration and compliance scoping conversation.
Clinical And Integration Scoping
Which workflows, which systems the product must interoperate with, what data categories are in scope, and what obligations your counsel has already identified. Written output, fixed fee.
Core Build
The main fixed-fee tranche: the agreed workflow, its interface layers, the scoped access model and the access logging, with the accessibility target agreed up front.
Security And Accessibility Pass
Manual security review against your checklist, leakage review of logs and responses, keyboard and screen-reader passes, and the documentation pack your assessors will ask for.
Change And Support
A separately priced retainer for integration changes, new service lines, dependency currency and incident response under a documented change process.
Who This Is Not For
Straight answers for the healthcare buyer.
Medical Device Or SaMD Programmes
We do not perform design controls, risk management files, verification and validation, or regulatory submissions. That is a regulatory-affairs discipline with its own qualified practitioners.
Clinical Decision Support Logic
We build software. We do not define diagnostic criteria, treatment logic or clinical pathways, and we will not build a system that implies clinical judgement we are not qualified to make.
Expecting A Compliance Sign-Off
We will not certify, attest or declare your organisation HIPAA compliant. That determination belongs to your covered entity, your counsel and your assessor.
No Clinical Stakeholder Available
Healthcare software without a clinician or operations owner available for review produces something that looks finished and cannot be used on a real ward or in a real schedule.
